Through the Volunteer Generation Fund, (VGF) we were able to develop a full series of professional development webinars and focus groups coupled with a strategically aligned communications campaign across social media platforms.

With increasing demands for accountability in higher education, learning important course development and assessment strategies can positively impact the quality of engaged learning programs that build students’ civic and moral responsibilities to their communities.

According to Dr. Petersen, “Learning in a classroom about social injustice and environmental degradation might result in rage and even hopelessness …. BUT … if you add a community engagement project focus, these motivations can be flipped from enragement to engagement, from hopelessness to action”.
